Arrival Time

Please arrive 15–20 minutes early to allow time for check-in, getting skates on, and meeting your instructor. There will be signs and staff to help direct you where to go.

Check In and Name Tags

Head to the check-in table where you’ll receive your group assignment and a name tag. If you have any questions, our friendly staff will be there to help!

On Ice Time

Skaters will be grouped by age and skill level. Instructors will guide them through fun, age-appropriate exercises to help them get comfortable on the ice. The first day focuses on balance, falling safely, and having fun!

Once the lesson is over, children will be released to the parent/guardian at the designated pick-up spot. Parents will be notified which gate to pick up the student.

A parent/guardian must remain in the arena building for the entire duration of the class. This ensures someone is available right away if child needs assistance (bathroom, equipment, injury, or upset) Children cannot be dropped off and left unattended.

Skates – We kindly ask that you do not purchase Velcro or adjustable skates. While they may seem convenient, Velcro/adjustable skates typically lack the proper support and structure needed for learning and progressing on the ice. Skates are the most important piece of equipment we suggest you go to a sports specific store and have your child properly fitted.

Helmet- Each skater is required to wear a CSA approved helmet (no bicycle helmets allowed) Helmets must be properly fitted and securely fastened.

Clothing -Wear warm, layered clothing that allows movement (no snowsuits or bulky gear) water-resistant pants are suggested.

We understand that families have busy schedules, and sometimes a skater may need to miss a class. While we’d love to accommodate every absence, we do not offer make-up classes at this time. Ice time and instructor staffing are scheduled in advance based on registered participants. To maintain a low student-to-coach ratio, our class sizes are limited. Allowing make-ups could lead to overcrowding and reduce the attention each skater receives.
