HBMA
Honey and Barry Memorial Arena (HBMA) is a best-in-class twin pad ice arena directly connected to the Vaughan Jewish Community Campus and Schwartz/Reisman Centre. The arena features 400-seat and 150-seat spectator rinks as well as a small training pad for specialized training and offers a variety of youth programming including Hockey Camps and Learn to Skate/Play Programs which serves the GTA Jewish Community and local Vaughan and Richmond Hill Communities.
Gary Roberts Performance, an elite sports and executive training company under the leadership of Gary Roberts and Adrian Vilaca, will serve as the arena’s anchor tenant. This dynamic partnership will further enhance the arena’s offerings, providing opportunities to access one of the top hockey and physical training programs in the country.

Gary Roberts Performance
This partnership with GRP will greatly enhance what is already an exciting community hub. Throughout the entire year, GRP will offer executive fitness training, comprehensive nutrition and lifestyle programs, as well as a world-class rehabilitation facility to the public who want to be part of this first‐class program.
“We are thrilled to call the Honey and Barry Memorial Arena our new home. This cutting‐edge facility will greatly enhance our offerings, and allow for seamless on‐ and off‐ice training for the hockey community and beyond,” said Gary Roberts.
Hyman Hockey Camp
HBMA will proudly host hockey star Zach Hyman each summer as he launches the Hyman Hockey Camp starting in August 2025. This is an incredible opportunity for our community’s youth to access a world‐class program, all under the wing of a Jewish hockey star with hometown roots.
“The Greater Toronto Jewish community is very special to me. It’s where I grew up, built lifelong friendships, and developed a passion for hockey,” said Zach Hyman. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share that passion with the next generation of players through my hockey camp. It’s a privilege to do so at such an incredible facility serving the Greater Toronto Jewish community and residents of all faiths and cultures.”
New Rink coming July 2025!
UJA Federation of Greater Toronto is thrilled to announce that a new, state-of-the-art arena will be coming to York Region in 2025!
Directly connected to the Schwartz/Reisman Centre, the Honey and Barry Memorial Arena will be a best-in-class, twin ice pad facility. This arena will be a way to engage people who otherwise might not be connected to community—a dynamic sports arena will be a gateway for local Jewish families to build relationships with other community members, while also connecting with the full range of vibrant Jewish programming at the Schwartz/Reisman Centre. It will also help fill the gap of access to ice pads in the area and connect to other residents of all faiths and cultures over a shared love of sports. Building these kinds of relationships will only help to strengthen Jewish life in York Region.
